Gas inspection
Full inspection of your gas installation (natural gas, propane, butane) to NBN D51-003 — for meter activation, short-term rental, sale, or conversion to rich gas.
The gas inspection exists to make your installation safe and to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, which is still too common in Belgium. Atlas Contrôle is authorised by the FPS Economy to inspect natural gas, propane and butane installations against the NBN D51-003, D51-004 and D51-006 standards.
The inspection is mandatory before your grid operator activates a meter, required every 2 years for short-term rentals (Airbnb, Booking), and strongly recommended when selling, bringing an installation into compliance, or converting to rich gas in the Brussels region.
ⓘ Language of the report: the official report is issued in French or Dutch, as Belgian law requires. An English summary is available on request, free of charge.
Natural gas meter activation
Mandatory before your grid operator commissions the meter (Sibelga, ORES, RESA, Fluvius). You receive the report and the isometric diagram to forward to them.
Propane & butane
High- and low-pressure inspection for tanks, cylinders and cascade installations. Required before your supplier is allowed to refill your tank.
Short-term rental
Airbnb, Booking, seasonal lets: regional rules require a gas inspection less than 2 years old.
Rich gas conversion
Atlas Contrôle is authorised by the FPS Energy to inspect installations as part of the conversion to high-calorific gas (rich gas).
Boiler room acceptance > 400 kW
In Wallonia, mandatory for boiler rooms with an installed output above 400 kW (Walloon Government Decree of 29/01/2009, art. 11, §2).
Isometric diagram included
A mandatory document for meter activation: we draw it on site and include it in the report, at no extra cost.
